What YOU Can Do
Oak Farm, in the Shropshire village of Ditton Priors, is a working farm that operates as a day service for adults with learning disabilities in South Shropshire. People who use the service travel from Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Church Stretton and the surrounding areas
for adults with learning disabilities
Oak Farm provides training and work experience in horticulture and agriculture for people who may move on to permanent employment, and a supportive placement for others who, because of their disability are unlikely to seek mainstream work.
Oak Farm is a 12 hectare (30 acres) small holding run on organic principles producing high quality vegetables and fruit. It has a variety of different livestock including sheep, pigs, cattle, alpacas and a flock of 150 free range laying hens which produce eggs for the Farm Shop.
Oak Farm Friends Association (OFFA) was set up in April 2011. We have a Committee of 10 members and a wider membership of around 45 friends, consisting of local people and the families and friends of service users. Our purpose is to raise funds to support the work and activities of Oak Farm including the purchase of equipment, materials and livestock.
